Officer James Serlick, Pass the Hat Ride
On April 17th, 2010, Corporal Brandon Massey, of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office orginized a ride for friend and our fellow officer Mr. James Serlick, of the Goldsboro Police Department.

Officer James Serlick of the Goldsboro P.D. was diagnosed with lukemia in 2009, he has since had a relapse. The community was invited to pass the hat and join in for a benefit ride in his honor.

The ride started in the parking lot of Wal-Mart of Wilson at 11:00 am.  We took a ride through the country, and ended up at the Goldsboro PD. Once at the Police Department we will present the Serlick family with
whatever funds we raised, and enjoyed some fellowship and free hotdogs.

The ride was open to anyone with a heart, and there was over 200 bikes that showed up. This young man is fighting, and we can help his fight be a little easier……

We had a great turn out of Blue Knights from our chapter and some of our friends

Below are some a few pictures from the ride.  Please click on them to see them larger in another window.
