July 2009 Northern / East Coast Vacation Ride
|
In July of 2009 some of members of NC XII went on a Vacation Ride through the Northern East Coast United States.
We drove from NC, up to VA, through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, into Maryland, and over to Lewes, D.L. We had to take a Ferry over from Lewes to Cape May, N.J. Then we drove over to Downtown
Philadelphia to visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After a nice stay we drove over to Staten Island, N.Y. The next morning we took the Ferry over to Downtown Manhattan and took a Ferry over to Liberty Island
to visit Lady Liberty. Later that day we walked to Ground Zero and around Downtown before we loaded up the bike for another days ride. Once on the bikes we got a little lost and found our selfs in Uptown N.Y. near
Time Square. After making our way out of Queen and the Bronx, we found ourselves in C.T. for the night. The next day we loaded up and went through Mass. then into Vermont. We crossed over back in to N.Y. near the
Canada border. We drove over to Niagara Falls for the day. We then make our way down through P.A., West VA, VA and then ............5 Days and 4,200 miles later we arrived home.
Below are some of the pictures from the ride. Please click on them to see them larger in another window.
